Salon Privé had its most successful year to date, with 4250 people visiting the Hurlingham Club – a 28% increase in numbers

Organisers of this year’s Salon Privé are toasting the event’s success, having once again broken previous records for both visitor and exhibitor attendance.  The ultimate collection of the latest luxury and super cars and the UK’s finest Concours d’Elégance attracted 4250 visitors to London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club across three days on July 22-24 – a 28% increase on 2008.These visitors were treated to a total of eight unveilings, including the UK public debuts of the new Jaguar XJ, £1.2m Aston Martin One-77, Rolls-Royce 200EX and the world premiere of the Vermot Veritas RSIII super car. Part motor event, part social occasion, Salon Privé also played host to a raft of luxury brands, including Riva motor boats, Audemars Piguet watches, Boodles jewellery, suits and even shotguns, which were enjoyed at leisure, along with comprehensive – and complimentary – hospitality, including Pommery champagne, lobster and afternoon tea.Overall, 39 individual exhibitors created the 2009 Salon Privé experience, from major car makers such as Jaguar, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin, to specialist sports and luxury  brands – the highest number in the event’s four-year history.'Salon Privé is growing, in both size and stature and is now a firm date in both the automotive and social calendars,' said co-founder, David Bagley. 'We’re especially pleased this year that Salon Privé proved so popular, when other events struggled with the economic climate.  It’s good to know we’ve got the right recipe for a great motor event and a fabulous day out.'
