A new name in Australian classic auction houses opens its doors for the first time.

CTS Auctions – the new venture from Classic Throttle Shop – timed its launch party just days after the news that Australian auction house Bonhams & Goodman would stop trading at the end of 2009. The Sydney dealership threw open its doors for a razzmattazz launch party on October 1 as Rory Johnston, CTS founder, arrived at the stage in a Messerschmitt KR200 to introduce the new company. First sale is on December 5 where a Ferrari 250GTE, the ex-Jack Brabham Escort Mexico seen at several sales in the UK – and the Kabinenroller, plus – are already consigned.
