What to Expect

Adjacent to the Henry Ford Museum is the Automotive Hall Of Fame. The facility honors the men and women whose outstanding achievements have benefited global automobile business and automobile-related businesses. Since 1967, the Hall Of Fame has inducted over 200 pioneers in the business. Names like Alfred P. Sloan, Charles F. Kettering, Henry Ford and other automotive leaders are represented. But the museum celebrates more than just people in the industry. Other inductees include race car drivers A.J. Foyt, Dan Gurney and Dale Earnhardt who have been recognized for their part in the growth of automotive racing.

Visitors can roam the halls and reflect on the vast number of people who spent their lives improving the auto industry. Many were visionaries, some were engineers, and others were promoters. Together, they took an industry from play toy of the rich to a car for every family.  In addition to highlighting those people who have been inducted, the museum features an 1897 Peugeot Type 14 engine and a display of the Volkswagen Beetle history.
