Fords at the Summit is for all Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Edsel enthusiasts and will include a car/truck show field, drag racing, swap meet, manufacturers’ midway, and a vehicle for sale area. Summit Motorsports Park is a clean, friendly, and professionally run facility that is located within a short drive of many attractions and activities. Put In Bay Island, Cedar Point Amusement Park, and multiple indoor water parks are just a few of the things that make Norwalk a wonderful place for families and club gatherings.

Saturday and Sunday each offer an individual purse. Friday night shootout is open to all racers registered for the main event. You’re not going to find better prices anywhere!
The show field at Ford at the Summit offers something for everyone. For those who are looking for serious competition there is the prestigious “Ring of Fire”. This is a judged competition. All vehicles selected for the Ring of Fire will receive recognition. Best of vehicles will be determined based on judging points and will receive a second award. For those who want to just show off their ride and enjoy the show, participant ballot will be used on Saturday to determine 1st and 2nd place in each class, and on Sunday, Best in Class will be determined by team selection. Show field fee is $35 for the weekend. This price includes the vehicle, driver, and one adult guest
This year a special display featuring 1960 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models will be located under the grandstand. There will also be historical race cars on display and performing exhibition runs. On Saturday of Fords at the Summit, see the “World’s First Fuel Funny Car” in action. This ’64 A/FXer was powered by a Ford 427 wedge engine when Chrisman first raced it. For the 1965 season Chrisman updated the body to a ’65 and replaced the “wedge” with a 427 SOHC motor. In 1983, Jim Barillaro, a veteran drag racer, returned to the racing world with the Chrisman Comet. Now Ford fans can see the historical Comet on the track at Summit. In addition, Barillaro will display the famous 1967 Chrisman Flip-Top Comet.
Gary Fore and Animal Jim Feurer will also be part of the show! Gary will be making passes in his “Super Cobra Jet” funny car. Animal Jim will be there with two of his cars. “The Big Animal”, Jim’s first serious race car a ’57 Mercury, will be on display throughout the weekend. On the strip, Animal Jim will be showing off “Zeke”, his ’79 Mercury Zephyr Pro Mod.
