The Audi quattro concept study made its début at the Paris Motor Show, and Audi says the car takes its inspiration from the 1984 Audi Sport quattro. Based around the current RS5 platform, the wheelbase has been shortened by 150mm, and 40mm has been chopped from the roof. Instead of the RS5's V8, Audi has fitted a modified version of the highly respected five-cylinder TFSI engine from the 2009 TT RS - now producing 408PS.
Like the original Sport quattro, aluminium has been used extensively throughout, now with the addition of Carbon Fibre for the bonnet and rear hatch. All these weight-saving measures have kept the weight down to 1300kg, almost identical to the original car. All this adds up to a car with a power-to weight ratio close to the R8 V10, with a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds, topping out at a claimed 186mph.
