For months, the rumor mill churned with reports of a new Camaro that is powered by the supercharged, 6.2-liter LSA V-8 currently used in the Cadillac CTS-V. In Caddy trim, the LSA pumps out 556 horses and 551 lb-ft of torque. If the Z/28 will indeed pack this mill–and the interior sticker suggests that it will–it will be a big power jump over the LS3’s 426 ponies. Another interesting aspect of that sticker is its mention of an automatic transmission. Are we looking at GM’s new GT500 killer?
