Having the right tool makes the job much easier – and gets you to the dinner table faster!
If you’re a do-it-yourselfer, you probably have quite a collection already. No worries, we’re pretty sure we’ve found some tools that you don’t have. And if you’re a beginner, read on – there are plenty of goodies here that will get you well on your way to “professional” status.
New Pig Corporation has introduced the Form-A-Funnel™ Draining Tool–the only flexible tool for draining filters in tight spaces and around obstructions like skid plates and sway bars. This unique tool makes oil changes cleaner, faster, and is shapeable to fit even the toughest filter locations.
Constructed of a moldable alloy core encapsulated in thick and pliable nitrile rubber, the versatile tool is completely impervious to automotive fluids and chemicals. The Form-A-Funnel™ can be easily shaped to channel hard-to-drain liquids straight into the drain, keeping oil and other fluids off of you, your vehicles, and your shop’s floor. Also, simply spray with any cleaner or degreaser and wipe away dirt or oil to clean after use. When not in use, the Form-A-Funnel™ can be rolled and stored in a toolbox. – New Pig Corporation
Half Shafts are sometimes difficult to break loose with a pry bar. The Axle Popper kit can get the job done easily. It’s safer than using a pry bar as the Axle Popper’s wedge forked end applies even pressure to both sides of the shaft for sure release of the shaft. It is versatile as the tapered ends of the fork allow the technician to strike the Axle Popper Wedge or use it as a pry bar to release the half shaft. The Shim is included to fill the gap between the half shaft and the transaxle on some vehicles. – Steck Manufacturing Company
This ingenious Hot Rod Calculator allows easy calculations of how engine modifications and track vehicle setup changes can affect power output and track performance. Easy-to-use formulas for the professional or novice will show you how engine changes like compression ratio and air/fuel mixture affect your engine’s power and torque outputs. At the track, see how things like gear ratio changes or weather conditions change your ET (accurate weather data required). This is the chance to know up front how changes will translate into power and performance, so before you spend your time or money, use the Hot Rod Calculator to get the answers. – Mr. Gasket
