The 1932 Ford coupe is an icon equal to the 1932 roadster. In fact, there are even more references to the coupe than the roadster in pop culture. The phrase “Little Deuce Coupe” comes from the title of a very popular Beach Boys song. Oddly enough, the well-known album cover car was a one-off, highly modified show car that wasn’t representative of iconic Deuce coupes. Another incredibly well known 1932 coupe played a starring role in the George Lucas movie American Graffiti. The inexpensive prop car wasn’t a mainstream street rod, but it still represents a Deuce coupe to the general public.

Like the 1932 roadster, there are fendered and fenderless Deuce coupes. The two different coupe body styles are an added variation. The 3-window coupe has rear-hinged suicide doors, and the 5-window coupe (only the side and rear windows are counted) has traditional front hinges. Both bodies have their fans, and you can’t go wrong with either version.
