Power Up Your Classic Sweepstakes

OFFICIAL RULES


NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1.
Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Power Up Your Classic Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older at the time of entry. Employees of AutoTrader.com, Inc. (“Sponsor”) or any of its respective affiliates or advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees are not eligible to enter or win. 

2.
How toEnter. The Sweepstakes will begin on August 1, 2010 and will end on October 31, 2010 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). All entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2010 and received by November 5, 2010. During the Sweepstakes Period, you can enter in one of two ways: 

(a) Complete an official entry form and mail the form to Sponsor during the Sweepstakes Period. Official entry forms can be located in the following editions of the following magazines:

  •  Classic Cars & Parts – September, October, November
  •  Mustang & Ford – October, November
  •  Corvette & Chevy - September, October, November
  •  Kustoms & Hot Rods - October, November
  •  Deals on Wheels - September, October, November
  •  Truck, Race & Repairables Marketplace - September, October, November

(b) Hand-print your name, address, phone number, and a valid email address on a postcard or 3x5 card and mail it to:

Limit: Maximum one (1) entry per person and per stamped postcard or outer mailing envelope during the Sweepstakes Period. Incomplete, automated, or mechanically reproduced entries will not be accepted. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, illegible, postage-due, or misdirected entries. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an email address will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. 

3.
Winner Selection. On or about November 12, 2010, Sponsor will select ten (10) Grand Prize Winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

4.
Prize Description. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, each Grand Prize Winner will receive a five hundred dollar ($500) gift card to a retailer chosen by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Under no circumstances will more than ten (10) Grand Prizes, or a Grand Prize exceeding the amount of five hundred dollars ($500), be awarded in connection with the Sweepstakes. Total retail value of all prizes to be awarded in the Sweepstakes: $5,000.00.

5.
Winner Notification and Prize Claim. Sponsor will notify each potential winner by the telephone number or email address provided on the potential winner’s entry form. Sponsor’s inability to reach a potential winner and/or any potential winner’s failure to timely respond to prize notification or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules may, in Sponsor’s discretion, result in that potential winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the Grand Prize and the selection of a substitute potential winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor will conduct up to 2 alternate drawings, after which that Grand Prize will remain unawarded.

Each potential winner may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law), which must be signed and returned to Sponsor within seven (7) days of notification in order to claim the Grand Prize. Failure to timely sign and return the affidavit and release may result in a potential winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute potential winner.

Each Grand Prize Winner may waive his or her right to receive the prize. Prize is non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed. Each Grand Prize Winner is solely responsible for any taxes on the prize and will be required to complete an IRS W-9 Form.

6.
Release and Limitations of Liability. By ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANTS ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT Sponsor IS NOT LIABLe for any claims, losses, or injuries arising out of (a) THE ENTRANT’S ENTRY IN THE SWEEPSTAKES; AND/OR (b) a winner’s acceptance, use, or misuse of the Grand Prize. Except where prohibited, entrants agree that acceptance of the Grand Prize constitutes the winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials or announcements relating to the Sweepstakes. 

7.
Reservation of Rights by Sponsor. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Grand Prizes in a random drawing from among the eligible entries received before the termination date.

8.
Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained herein.

9.
