  • DESCRIPTIONLooking at the receipts on this amazing 1941 Chevy and doing a little math suggests that you could sell it three times at the current asking price and still not cover the build cost. Yes, this award-winning little coupe cost nearly $200,000 to build, and is one of the cleanest, most meticulously built rods we've ever seen. It's the details that count, and this car nails every one! If Chevy could have spent hundreds of hours building each business coupe, maybe they would have looked like this when they were new. But of course, they didn't, so what you see here is 100% stock sheetmetal that has been massaged, straightened, and sanded until it was nearly perfect, then carefully assembled, measured, and tweaked until every panel fit exactly like it should. After that, the two-stage burgundy metallic paint went on, and the finish is simply brilliant in the sun. In the same way, all the original trim, chrome, and other bright bits were restored to show condition and reinstalled-no shaving, chopping, or other modifications were desired or needed. Oh, and it has also been loaded with accessories like the bumper ends and grille guard, which are highly-sought items for collectors. The bottom line is that this car is about a million times nicer than any working man's Chevy has a right to be. Inside, however, it's an entirely different story, as every square inch of it has been covered in luxurious glove-soft gray leather. With deeply sculpted seating surfaces, they are comfortable with an inflatable lumbar support. A custom center console was fabricated to house the shifter, an armrest, and the controls for the Vintage Air A/C system, and it flows smoothly into the modified instrument panel. Digital gauges were fitted into a custom panel that looks right at home with the vintage brightwork on the dash, and the polished steering column ties it all together. The lovely trunk has been upholstered to match, with custom panels hiding the stereo equipment, with a CD changer mounted up high. A GM LT4 crate motor was nestled into the engine bay, but not before being dressed up for show duty. Custom chrome valve covers and painted fuel injection rail covers give it a finished look, but up close you'll notice details like the alternator that has also been painted to match and neatly routed plumbing and wiring. A 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission was fitted for easy cruising, feeding a Currie 9-inch rear with limited slip. Heidt's provided the independent front suspension, complete with rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes are compliments of Wilwood. Gorgeous Budnik wheels are just the right size for the old Chevy fenders, and wear 225/70/15 front and 235/70/15 rear radials. This rod is every bit as nice as the receipts suggest. Over the top? Maybe, but until you see it in person, you don't realize just how amazing it is. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
