DESCRIPTION*** SEE NEW PRICING *** The body of this 1969 Camaro has been rotisserie restored from top to bottom, front to back. The color is the original code 71 LeMans Blue. The laser straight body has not been altered in any way with the exception of the addition of the steel cowl induction hood. The body restoration was done by Classic Cars of McHenry County. The paint is unbelievable deep and the panel gaps are much better than factory. Pictures of the body restoration are available. The chrome and trim was kept to minimum. The lenses are all new reproductions. The lighting is special since all of it is LED and the headlights are upgraded to HID units. The engine is a Corvette LS7 427, fuel injected unit with a custom 4" induction system, a custom LS7 camshaft by Speed, Inc. and fabricated headers by Kooks. The fuel injection system has been upgraded to handle the extra power while the original dry-sump tank has been retained. The engine produces 650hp on the engine dyno. To say the car is fast would be the understatement of the day. The gearbox is a Tremec T56 6-speed strengthened by a Corvette LS7 clutch. The factory 12-bolt rear end has 3.73 gears with Positraction. The suspension front features BMR lower control arms replacing the stamped steel ones. The shocks are QA1 adjustable coil-overs. The factory brake system has been replaced by Wilwood 4-piston calipers holding cross-drilled and slotted rotors. The rear brake system is similar incorporating the parking brake. All brake lines are stainless and Wilwood braided stainless flex lines were installed as well. The custom 18" wheels are by Coys with 245-45ZR18 up front and 275-40ZR18 at the rear. Tires are BFGoodrich g-Force KDWs. The interior of the car is completely as built in 1969. The vinyl bucket seats are code 711 black. The seat covers are original. All the interior hardware has either been restored or reproduction items have been used. The carpets, headliner and door panels are new. All the gauges are restored and a Stewart Warner greenline" tachometer has been added. Since this car has been built as a true COPO ZL-1, the car does not have a console or center console gauge package. The original radio has internally been upgraded to feature an IPod interface. The trunk sports the Optima gel battery for better weight distribution and traction. The trunk does have the correct spatter paint and new trunk mat. This is a very high dollar build which is offered here for just a fraction of the total cost. - This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 COPO features a V8 427 fuel injected cyl engine.
