DESCRIPTIONThe 1970 Pontiac GTO with 455ci HO Ram Air engine The 455ci HO (High Output) engine with Ram Air pushes 360hp and was a new option for 1970. This 455 has a neck snapping 500lbs of torque, a 3.35 rear differential and an optional fully functional Ram Air hood. The 455 ran a 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and a 14.76 second 1/4mile; extremely impressive in 1970 and still is today. Approximately 300 were made. Less than the 400ci Ram Air and even less than the famed Judge! This numbers matching, PHS documented GTO has undergone a complete restoration less than 200 miles ago. Nothing has been overlooked. Rebuilt motor, tranny & rear, new brakes, brake lines, new starter, alternator and master cylinder, new exhaust system, new hoses, new paint, chrome, interior, headliner & more... Performance features include a 12 bolt rear, PMD Rally II rims with trim rings (trim rings not shown in pictures but are included in sale), factory spoiler, front disc power brakes, power steering, dual exhaust, 4bbl carb and more. Everything works as it should (except AM radio) including all lighting inside & out, signals & gauges. She starts immediately, runs and drives beautifully and shifts smoothly. This rarely seen color combo of Coronado Gold with brown leather interior was a sign of the times in 1970. Today, both the interior and exterior are in exceptional condition. The mileage represented is a mere 38000 and is accurate.
