DESCRIPTION1965 275 GTB Short nose Mileage since Purchase: 16,500 Recent Triip: Parker Hall's Mini Miglia, Mississippi & Louisiana for Bonnie and Clyde Shoot-out Festival. 3 days 550 miles. Recent Work: 10/03 Bleed clutch slave cylinder, 2/04 Replace contact in ignition switch Early 1980, a customer had us, FAF Motorcars in Atlanta, pick the car up in Florida where it had sat behind a shop two years, while a discussion about the cost of new synchros in the transaxle ensued.. It wasn't running, and the body was in sad shape. I got it running and drove it a few blocks before it blew all the hoses. I bought it from the customer and patched the mechanical problems and it drive fairly well and kept the mosquitoes at bay with the copious smoke, 15 mpg gas, 80 miles/quart oil. I drove it to work for a couple of years until my son wrecked his Fiat Dino Spyder. So he drove it to high School for two years while we fixed the Dino. At his HS reunions he is now somewhat famous in retrospect. During this time, It was hit in the front twice, once by a fellow student in a pick-up, once by a customer at the dealership.. Then in 1985, we had an unexpected, deep freeze and without enough anti-freeze it blew the freeze plugs. I took it into the shop on a Sunday, pulled the engine, about 8 hours, and that was the start of a 6 year restoration, a story for another time.
