American fashion designer Ralph Lauren's 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO, one of only 272 originally produced, is for sale on ExoticTraderOnline.com. Ralph Lauren, a well-known collector of classic cars, entered this car in the 2004 Ferrari French Quarter Classic, where the car won "Gold" status.
The 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO was originally built for the Group B rally race series, but was never entered. All of the original cars were sold before production started in July 1984, and by the time production ceased in early 1986, an extra 73 cars had been added to satisfy customer demand.
The car is being sold by Maine Line Exotics, from Biddeford, Maine.

Online classified sites have soared in popularity in the last year, according to a new report by the Pew Internet and American Life Project and comScore Networks. More than 26.3 million people visited one of the top 15 classifieds sites in September 2005--marking an 80 percent increase from the 14.6 million people who landed at an online classifieds site in September 2004. The total internet population grew by just seven percent in that same time.
TraderOnline.com, which saw approximately 8.2 million visitors in September, experienced a 90% increase in traffic from September 2004.
