• DESCRIPTIONThis is a very fine 1965 Chevelle SS tribute. It has less than 500 miles since a frame off restoration was completed. This car still has all of the original metal and the body is super straight. The exterior finish is GM Torch Red base clear and is simply out of this world gorgeous. The glass, chrome and trim is exceptional. This car only had 45,700 original miles before the restoration. The engine is a completely rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted, Big block 396 (casting #3969854 from a 69 Chevelle), with a forged crank, Keith Black flat top pistons (10.25:1 to run on pump gas), Competition X-treme Energy Cam, cc'ed oval port heads, and Merlin split plenum intake with Edelbrock 750CFM carburetor and electric choke. The engine performs VERY well. It has a 4 speed transmission, 12 bolt rear end, power steering, and power front disc brakes. The restoration includes all new polyurethane mounts/bushings throughout, new brakes, master cylinder, booster, proportional valve, springs, shocks, gas tank, ball joints, end links, weatherstrips, wiring harness, badges, I could go on and on. The interior is none less than perfect with late model GM bucket seats (headrest delete) covered to match, new headliner, door panels and carpet. The original dash and all interior metal has been refinished. A Covana dash insert with all new Stewart Warner gauges has been installed. This interior is neat as a pin. The engine compartment is detailed to perfection. The undercarriage is spectacular. Not a dime was spared when this car was restored. It drives better than new without a squeak, shake or shimmy. You can drive this one anywhere!
